The Environmental Technology Platform (PU) as a cooperation partner at the joint stand of the State of Baden-Württemberg

The Environmental Technology Platform, the state agency of environmental technology BW and Baden-Württemberg International (bw-i) present under the auspices of the State of Baden-Württemberg themselves, together with innovative companies, state agencies, clusters and research institutes from April 08th to April 12th 2013 on the location of economy and science in Baden-Württemberg in hall 6, stand J15 at the Leading International Fair for Environmental Technologies, Industrial Green Tec, one of the most important platform for environmental technologies.

Michael Auer (chairman PU) is confident that „ Baden-Württemberg is able to present themselves once again excellent on the Hannover Fair 2013 to the international trade community as a location for innovation and manufacturing for environmental technologies.” The environmental and energy technology is a forward looking and growing sector. Already today 25 percent of the german environmental technology products and services are from Baden-Württemberg. “The southwest is a powerful industrial location in the heart of Europe. A high-technology location lives from a lively exchange between economics and science and from efficent technology transfer structures“, commented Senator E.h. Wolfgang Wolf, managing director of the association of the industry in Baden-Württemberg (LVI). However the rapid pace of technical progress and the international competition in the environmental technologies demand the companies constantly to new maximum performance. Often it is only possible to resolve this through cooperation.

A special highlight is the visit of the Minister President of the state of Baden-Württemberg Winfried Kretschmann on the 8th and the visit of the Deputy Minister President and Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs Dr. Nils Schmid on the 9th 2013.

Both of them will be on the spot to inform themselves about the situation and the perspectives in this sector.

The Environmental Technology Platform is the association of environmental and energy technology representatives in Baden-Württemberg. It is an amalgamation of companies, universities, research institutes and consumers from all branches of environmental and energy technology in Baden-Württemberg. The PU supports its members to put environmental technologies from Baden-Württemberg on international markets. The members of PU have acquired expertise in the fields of air, water-/waste water, waste management, renewable energy, recycling management, green industrial technology and energy & resource efficiency. The PU supports its members to internationalize environmental technologies from Baden-Württemberg. It also provides as a super-ordinated network a platform for dialogue and knowledge transfer between companies, science and politics. By maximum cooperation it is possible to place innovative ideas successfully to the market.

With members along the entire value added chain, it provides a link between economy, science and political decision makers and other socially relevant groups.
